Systems are all go here this week, in the build up to our fantastic upcoming weekend, to launch the exciting new ARTS3370 project. We have so much happening, thanks to our fearless leader Lana, that all our heads are spinning – including hers!
I personally (Ann here) am very excited to have the opportunity to do a wire sculpture workshop with Tom Ripon – something I’ve wanted to do for ages – but this one is my favourite price – FREE!
And I’m wishing I had a video camera to take part in the Youtube video-making workshop of the talented young film-maker Brayden Black. Perhaps I can use the film option on my existing camera? Be worth attending I am sure, even if my camera isn’t up to the job.
And I’m excited to see the Grasslands screening – that was such a great production!
And entry is free – plus it includes a free raffle ticket to win one of two fabulous prizes – an elegant brooch which appeared in the film “The Dressmaker” and a gorgeous little wire dog sculpture. You can purchase more raffle tickets to increase your chances of winning – only $2 for 5 tickets – I certainly will be buying some as I want that doggie bad!
There’s artist’s displays, stalls, jumping castles, roving poets and soooo much more happening too – and if you’re down on Fraser St during Booktown, you can even board the free shuttle bus that will bring you up to the events happening here on the grounds of the Lee Medlyn Home of Bottles, and the bus will ferry you back down to all that’s happening in Fraser Street too.
